SOLAR STORM

Assalamu ‘alaikum Wr. Wb.

Thank god we prayed for the presence of God Almighty who has given favors and gifts so that we can gather in this place to be healthy and hearty. Do not forget we send greetings and invocation to the lord great prophet Muhammad S.A.W who has brought us to the right way and straight. And the last respected ladies and gentlemen

In this delight occasion, I would like to talk about the problem of our issue recently, and that is Solar Storm.  As we know that on 22 September 2012 at midnight, New York skyline, Manhattan United States will be offset by a beam of light screen colors. In the southern region of New York is, just few people who can see this aurora phenomenon. However, the feeling of enjoying the beauty of the natural landscape is not going on to be long time. After a few seconds, all electric light bulbs in the region began to get dark and flashing erratically, then the light rays suddenly grew brighter, and the light bulb to be amazingly light. Furthermore, all the lights are off. 90 seconds later, the entire eastern United States will experience a power outage. A year later, millions of Americans began to die and the country's infrastructure will be rubble. The world’s bank will announce the U.S. turned into a developing country. At the same time, Europe, China and Japan and other countries will be the same as the United States, fought once in the disaster. This disaster comes from the sun or solar storm, it was occurring on the surface of the sun is 150 million km from earth.

This story may seem impossible to us. But it is possible this will happen in 2012 when the energy unstable sun spots peaked. That’s why the title of my speech this time is ‘solar storm’ in order that we know more about solar storm and sought early on to prepare ourselves to face this terrible disaster.

Actually, black spots or sun spots on the sun happen every 11 years do the cycle is caused by the unstable flow of energy around the black spots that will give rise to unstable flames snaking called 'sun spots'. Effects of 'sun spots' can disturb electromagnetic waves. This is just the effect of sun spots, because solar storm has more terrible impact than the 'sun spots'. American scientists recently warned that at 2012 the earth will experience a great solar storm called 'solar blast', the damage power will be far greater than hurricane wind "Katrina", and almost all the people on earth will not be able to break away from the impact disaster. The accuracy of this news reaches 98% accuracy by Richard Enke from the National Science Foundation, the U.S. department of atmospheric research.

What happens during 'solar blast' is also called CME or coronal mass ejection or coronal mass spending. CME is a large explosion throws billions of tons of plasma clouds corona. When sweeping the earth will cause auroras, radiation storms, and in extreme cases is a breakdown of the power grid and shut down the satellite. Before our earth had experienced a solar storm on September 1^st, 1859, and it caused the telegraph network was broken and so did it on 1921 but it did not really affect our lives because of the using of electricity at the time was still less than in 2011. At this time these are all elements of our lives depend on electricity. Of course now the earth is filled with wired and wireless facility, but the facility is difficult to hold the test of solar storm.

And actually, the issue of the end of 2012 is because of the behavior of our lives highly dependent on modern technology recently that we cause us to be dragged to the impact of solar blast 2012 later. Why is that? Because this is similar with the domino’s effect. Try to think please, if the power grid becomes fragile and unstable, things related to the power supply will also be a victim, refrigeration equipment will stop, food and medicines stored in the refrigerated space will lose a large amount of storage and run-down condition, pump suddenly stopped working, and the drinking water for the citizen will be a problem. In addition, because of interference with satellite signals, GPS positioning system will be garbage. So when it happened, there is no SMS, no phone, no electric, no Face-book, no Twitter, no television, no radio no browsing or nothing relate the electric and signal or network.

Therefore, early we had to prepare ourselves to face the effects of solar storm by don’t hanging any aspect of our lives to modern technology and the closer ourselves to God, so that we can avoid this disaster. Because humans can only predict, even though accuracy is 98 %, but there are still 2% which by Allah SWT’s willing everything can change.
